James Beckwith is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Five Star Bank and its holding company, Five Star Bancorp. With more than 20 years of experience, James joined Five Star Bank in 2003 after serving as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer at National Bank of the Redwoods, in Santa Rosa, California. James graduated from San Francisco State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. He is also a graduate of Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington. As an active member of the Sacramento community, James works with many who share his mission to improve the Capital Region. James is a Private Sector Director with Greater Sacramento Economic Council, the Board Chair of KVIE, a Board member and State Government Relations Chair of California Independent Bankers, a Board member of Crocker Art Museum and a member of the Sacramento State University College of Business Advisory Council. James is the Immediate Past Board Chair of Sacramento Metro Chamber, Past Board Chair of Valley Vision and Past Board Chair of NextEd. James’ professional leadership and extensive volunteer work in the community include support of numerous organizations, and especially, the vision and mission of Cristo Rey High School Sacramento and Make-A-Wish, among others.

Jack Dalton joined Five Star Bank in 2011 as a Senior Vice President, Chief Credit Officer. Jack has more than 30 years of experience in the banking industry. Before coming to Five Star Bank, Jack was with PremierWest Bank as Senior Vice President, Region Credit Administrator. Prior to that, he worked at Stockmans Bank as Senior Vice President, Chief Credit Officer. Jack holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

Erik Lawson joined Five Star Bank in 2016 as its Chief Financial Officer.  Erik has more than 17 years of experience in banking.  He graduated from the well-respected Bank Management Training program at Baybank (now Bank of America) after receiving a Bachelor of Arts from Hobart College. He went on to become a Regional Manager at his home town bank in Ipswich, MA.  It was there that Erik found the passion for community banking and determined that being behind the scenes as a Chief Financial Officer was how he could best contribute. Erik went back to school and received a dual Master of Science degree from Northeastern University in Accounting and Business Administration.  Erik then went into public accounting at KPMG LLP specializing in financial institutions.  After moving to Sacramento, Erik moved onto a local firm that also focused on financial institutions, Perry-Smith LLP (now Crowe Horwath).  Erik decided to get back into banking in 2005 as a Controller for a local, publicly traded bank in Sacramento where he worked until coming to Five Star Bank.

Mike Lee joined Five Star Bank in 2005 as Chief Financial Officer bringing over 14 years of bank regulatory experience with the FDIC. In 2007, Mike transitioned to the position of Chief Credit Officer where he oversaw all administrative functions related to lending. Beginning in 2010, he was appointed as Chief Regulatory Officer, responsible for developing and managing all compliance, audit and examination programs, including Enterprise-wide Risk Management. In 2009 he graduated with honors from the Pacific Coast Bankers Graduate School of Banking in Seattle, Washington. Prior to that he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Economics from Midwestern State University in Texas.

Joel Mannion joined Five Star Bank in 2006 and now has over 18 years of experience in the banking industry with a focus on providing skilled customer service. He is an Accredited ACH Professional (AAP), manages the eBanking team, and oversees all of the eBanking products Five Star Bank has to offer, including NetTeller online banking, mobile banking, remote deposit capture, ACH origination, and other Cash Management products. He ensures the customer experience with Five Star Bank is convenient, secure and efficient. Joel volunteers as a Community Reader in the Folsom Cordova Unified School District and enjoys outdoor sports throughout the western United States.

Stephanie Petrakos joined Five Star Bank in 2006 as a Management Trainee. With almost 10 years of banking experience, she has served clients in many capacities, having worked in branch operations, loan servicing, commercial underwriting, and business development. In her current role as Vice President, Senior Credit Administrator, Stephanie assists the Chief Credit Officer in the oversight and administration of the Bank's loan portfolio. She is a recent graduate of Pacific Coast Banking School at University of Washington, and former graduate of California Bankers Association’s Commercial Lending School. Stephanie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a double concentration in Marketing and Management from California State University, Sacramento.

Krista Snelling is the Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer of Five Star Bank. She first joined the bank as Chief Financial Officer in 2009, and held this role for several years before working with Inspire Communities as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to this, Krista was Chief Financial Officer of Hanson McClain and also spent several years serving audit clients with Arthur Andersen and KPMG. A resident of Roseville, Krista has more than 20 years of strategic finance experience and returned to Five Star Bank in 2017. She is responsible for Branch Operations, Deposit Operations, Human Resources and Information Technology. Krista graduated from the University of the Pacific with a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Mathematics and Economics. She also holds a Master of Arts degree in Economics from UC Davis. Krista serves on the Board of Directors of Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant.

Shelley Wetton joined Five Star Bank in 2015 as Vice President, Community Relations and Communications. She brings almost 20 years of corporate branding, media relations and strategic marketing expertise to Five Star Bank, the last sixteen years as Vice President, Corporate Communications at The Buzz Oates Group of Companies. Since the bank’s inception in 1999, Shelley has worked closely with Five Star Bank’s Board of Directors in a consulting role. Shelley leads Five Star Bank’s internal and external marketing and communications efforts and community outreach, while supporting business development efforts to ensure the bank’s continued growth and success as one of the top performing banks in the nation. A long-time resident of Sacramento, Shelley earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in English from California State University, Sacramento.

Jon Blackstad joined Five Star Bank in 2009 as the South Valley Region President. He is responsible for the development of business banking relationships throughout the Capital Region and specializes in church/faith community lending state wide. He has over 30 years of community banking experience working as Chief Operating Officer at Stockmans Bank, and most recently, as Senior Vice President/Regional Administrator at PremierWest Bank which purchased Stockmans in 2008. Jon sits on the Board of Directors at Capital Christian Center, the Board of Trustees at William Jessup University and the Executive Board of Directors of the Golden Empire Boy Scouts of America. He also serves on the Executive Board of Regions Business. In the past, Jon has served on the Board of Directors for Youth for Christ Ministries and the Board of Directors for the local chapter of the National Association of Evangelicals. He also has served on the Board of Directors at Sacramento Region Builders Exchange.

Jason joined Five Star Bank in February 2013 and has 20 years' experience specializing in commercial banking, including eight years specializing in emerging/growth technology banking in the San Francisco Bay Area and 12 years specializing in commercial and commercial real estate in the Bay Area and the Sacramento region. Jason has had experience working with all industries and business models including software, hardware, service, construction, manufacturing and distribution, and all types of commercial real estate with a specialty in manufactured housing communities. Jason represents Five Star Bank in the South Placer marketplace and is involved in the Roseville Chamber of Commerce and Rocklin Chamber of Commerce, and is a coach and the Treasurer of the Roseville Youth Soccer Club. He is also an Allegiant Giving Partner. Jason also represents Five Star Bank in the Construction Financial Management Association and the Western Manufactured Housing Association. Jason is a graduate of the University of California at Santa Barbara where he studied macroeconomics and was an officer of the UCSB Rugby Club.

Jerry Legg joined Five Star Bank in August 2016 as Senior Vice President, Government Banking Manager.  Jerry has over 20 years of experience in public finance, having worked at the State Department of Finance for 3 years and managing at the State Treasurer's Office for eight years before moving to banking.  He has managed over 260 public entity relationships throughout California with deposits in excess of $1.5 billion.  He is passionate about helping others and actively supports local charities and the performing arts.  Jerry is a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), is a past member of the California Association of County Treasurer's and Tax Collectors (CACTTC) and is a current member of the California Society of Municipal Finance Officers (CSMFO).  He graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in Agribusiness Management where he served as Class President for three years. 

Greg Patton joined Five Star Bank in 2013 serving as Senior Vice President, Capital Region Market Manager, with a focus on building banking relationships from downtown Sacramento to the foothills. Greg’s banking career dates back to the early 1980's where, after starting as a teller after college, he progressed from operations and lending support, to serving in executive management positions in the community banking arena. With degrees in education and economics, as well as being a graduate of Pacific Coast Banking School, Patton can regularly be found sharing funding and banking ideas with local schools, service clubs and not-for-profit agencies as an educator and guest lecturer. Greg is a 20 year Rotarian, an active member of many charitable fundraisers and boards and a founding member and treasurer of the Masters of Giving.

Manny Phagura joined Five Star Bank in 2014 as Senior Vice President, Business Development Officer. He has a range of experience which includes some years as a business consultant and over ten years focused on commercial and agricultural banking. Manny graduated as a business major from Chico State University, which led him to the path of banking. As a native of Gridley and current resident of Yuba City, he has enjoyed being part of the community and helping to make it better. He currently serves as Past President of the Yuba City Kiwanis Club, a service group with a focus on serving their community through fundraising for disadvantaged youth.

Mike Rizzo has been an integral part of Five Star Bank since 2005 and believes being a banker is more than providing capital and depository services, but also providing connections to the community to help his clients succeed.  Mike is a familiar name and face in the region and is the driving force behind Five Star Bank's emphasis in Emerging Business Banking which focuses on technology, life sciences and clean technology companies. He also works on project finance, business acquisitions, commercial real estate purchase and construction, as well as being an active SBA lender. Mike earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from California State University, Sacramento and is a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington. Mike is also on the Executive Boards for the Sacramento State Student Alumni Association and the American River Parkway Foundation and a supporter of the region’s running community.

Jason Saslow joined Five Star Bank in 2003 as a Senior Vice President, Business Development Officer. He has more than 25 years of experience in marketing and management in the greater Sacramento area. Jason has expertise in all aspects of commercial lending, business banking, treasury management and deposit relationships, as well as commercial real estate and commercial construction finance. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from California State University, Sacramento and a Masters of Business Administration from Golden Gate University. He is a member of the Association of Commercial Real Estate and serves on the Business Advisory Board at KVIE Public Television. He is a Board member for Sacramento Metro Chamber and also sits on the Business Advisory Board for the Northern California Section of the PGA.

Dan Sozzi joined Five Star Bank in February 2013 as a Senior Vice President,Business Development Officer. He has been in banking since 1995, primarily working at community banks. He specializes in agricultural and commercial banking. Currently, Dan is a Board member and Officer of the Butte Sink Waterfowl Association. Dan also founded and runs a college preparatory baseball program that has helped more than 100 young men go on to play college or professional baseball

Marcy joined Five Star Bank in 2012 to lead the expansion of Five Star Bank in the Chico market and surrounding area. As a Senior Vice President, Business Development Officer, with more than 35 years of experience working primarily for community banks in this market, Marcy takes a special interest in developing key relationships with local businesses and organizations to help them grow and prosper. Marcy’s experience covers many aspects of business banking, lending and management. Areas of expertise include commercial real estate and construction lending. Her passion is working with developers, builders and owners to create projects from the ground up. Marcy is a 2008 graduate of The Graduate School of Banking in Boulder, Colorado. She currently serves on the Board of 3CORE and ChicoStart. Marcy works closely with the College of Business and Center for Entrepreneurship at Chico State University to promote and mentor local entrepreneur talent.

Eric Woodstrom joined Five Star Bank in December 2006 as President, Northern Valley Region in Redding, California. Through his banking and community service activities, he has worked to grow and improve Northern California communities. Banking activities include residential and commercial property acquisition and development, business expansion and banking services to the agricultural community. Eric led Five Star Bank's expansion into the Northern Sacramento Valley with the opening of full service banking offices in Redding (2008) and Chico (2014). He is active in community service through membership and leadership in Rotary, Chambers of Commerce and Economic Development Corporations, as well as a Board position on a local special district. Eric also participates in the inaugural NorCal Leadership Academy class, is involved with various citizens’ advocacy committees, youth/amateur sports organizations and scouting. Eric brings over 35 years of commercial banking experience to Five Star Bank. A Sacramento area native, Eric earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with an emphasis in financial management, from California State University, Long Beach.
