Senior Vice President / Managing Director
Chris Rudberg joined Five Star Bank’s San Francisco Bay Area team as Senior Vice President, Managing Director. He has over 10 years of experience serving clients in the San Francisco Bay Area. With his relationship-focused approach and strong credit skills, he has a deep understanding of what local businesses need from their bank. Through his consultative approach, he enjoys working with and researching businesses as well as learning about their banking needs to be able to structure a tailored banking solution to best serve the client.
Chris began his banking career at Bridge Bank where he worked in the bank's capital finance division structuring asset-based lending solutions. Chris transitioned to California Bank of Commerce in 2018 as a SVP Senior Relationship Manager in the bank's middle market group, quickly growing and managing one of the largest portfolios at the bank. Over his career, Chris has worked closely with hundreds of clients from a variety of different industries and enjoys challenging himself by creating customized banking solutions.
Chris graduated from Saint Mary's College in Moraga where he earned a B.S.E. in Business Administration with a concentration in international business. He also graduated from Pacific Coast Banking School in Seattle, Washington, with a masters-level certificate in commercial banking. He has lived in the Bay Area for over 20 years and currently resides in Danville, California. Chris is very active in his community, coaching his children’s sports teams and volunteering as treasurer for the local youth soccer organization, Mustang Soccer.
